Several months ago I began writing and producing the Sunday church service bulletin. This started as a simple project, but has grown to include researching and structuring a responsive reading. The readings are NRSV scripture selections, structured for pastoral reading and congregation reading responsively.

Shortly after I started creating responsive readings, I also began providing commentary about the scripture selection. Commentary explains why the verses were selected, and a layman’s discussion of the intended meaning or the scripture.

This has provided a great opportunity for scripture study, and expressing my layman’s interpretation. I am considering adding some of this here, for your use as you feel led by His Spirit.
